More than a shell

What makes a
Linux distribution?

A distribution brings the Linux kernel together with system services, software packages, applications, and a user experience. JESUS DASH is the whole distribution; Jesus New OS is its shell, and Trinity Core is its service layer.

Like established distributions, it gives these pieces a coherent home. The choice of Linux connects JESUS DASH to an established software ecosystem while leaving room for a distinctly mobile-first, knowledge-centered experience.

01The experience

Jesus New OS.
The world you interact with.

Jesus New OS — also called Jesus New — is the shell: the user interface and application experience of JESUS DASH. It is where navigation, appearance, settings, and everyday tools become a coherent personal dashboard.

Its knowledge-centered direction brings learning, books, music, prayer, and insight into that experience. Codex, Fusion, and UL connect the idea of a digital home with the things a person wants to understand and carry through life. Jesus New Radio belongs to the wider music ecosystem intended for the distribution.

02The connections

Trinity Core.
Services that bring it together.

Trinity Core is the service layer between the Linux foundation and the Jesus New OS experience. Its architectural scope includes hardware and platform services, along with the integration needed for files, storage, networking, display, input, and audio.

Christian Cassarly describes that scope as more than 200 system packages. This expresses the breadth of the service architecture: coordinating the system’s capabilities and giving the shell a consistent way to work with them. The service layer is designed to keep those connections coherent across supported device profiles.

03The foundation

The Linux kernel.
A foundation with an ecosystem.

The kernel manages processes and memory, mediates access to hardware through drivers, and provides the foundations for permissions and system resources. Those responsibilities remain essential to a useful phone, even when some work can happen remotely.

Linux is the foundation chosen for JESUS DASH. It makes the distribution part of an established ecosystem of tools, applications, drivers, and development practices. Trinity Core builds the service layer above it; Jesus New OS shapes the experience a person sees and uses.

CAS · Cloud, APIs, Servers

Local presence.
Remote possibility.

CAS is the architecture’s route to remote computing: eligible heavy workloads can use cloud resources, APIs, and servers while the local dashboard stays responsive and personal.

On your device

The experience stays close.

Local interface, navigation, device interaction, and offline essentials.

Through CAS

Work where it fits.

Eligible heavy tasks and connected services, handled remotely when appropriate.

Workload placement depends on the task, connection, provider, privacy needs, and device capabilities. Hardware, power, latency, and network quality remain part of the experience.

A lightweight design direction

Carry the foundation.
Shape the dashboard.

The goal is a minimal device profile: keep the essentials close, use services deliberately, and avoid loading every environment with capabilities it does not need. That is a design direction for lightweight operation, rather than a benchmark or a promise of universal hardware support.

Future equipment-specific dashboards can share the JESUS DASH architecture while adapting their interfaces and integrations to their setting. A phone, a home display, or a learning space each has its own screen, inputs, drivers, and practical constraints.

Where we are today

Mobile first. PineCone first.

Christian Cassarly brings the Linux foundation, Trinity Core and Jesus New OS together as JESUS DASH. PineCone is the first device. Wider dashboard deployments are the next phase of the vision.

Current software

A Linux phone foundation.
A shell you can preview.

PineCone’s current Linux phone foundation is the starting point for the distribution work. The Jesus New OS iOS app offers an available shell preview and companion experience, separate from the Linux system on PineCone.

Wider dashboard deployments, city experiences, and AR integrations remain future visions.
